Conference of Southwest Writers (COSWRITE) is a regional writers’ body setup to provide support and platform for writers and readers in the southwest region of Nigeria (Yoruba Speaking states) and beyond.

Objectives of the association include: To create a thoughtful, intentional, and inclusive platform where Southwest writers from the Yoruba speaking states can gather to exchange wisdom on the art and craft of writing and celebrate vibrant creativity and accomplishment; To support Southwest Writers from Yoruba Speaking states in their literary pursuits while providing opportunities to participate in the larger writing community; To amplify voices of Yoruba Writers and promote their works; To find new writers and provide them with necessary tools in order to achieve their creative goals and lastly, To promote Yoruba Literature, Language, Culture and Tradition.

The Conference also hopes to sensitize, revive and promote moribund/dwindling reading and writing culture in the southwest region (Yoruba speaking states).
